Feeding Guide
Good health begins with proper feeding. Ultimates can help maintain your dog’s health when combined with exercise, veterinary care, and controlling intake of other food and treats. Use this chart as a guide, adjusting as necessary to maintain optimal weight. Portions will vary according to age, breed, temperament and environment. When introducing Ultimates, mix increasing amounts of Ultimates with decreasing amounts of the current food over a 7 to 10 day period. Offer clean, fresh water at all times. See your veterinarian regularly. Transition Instructions: On days 1 & 2 of the change, you should have plenty of your pet's old food left. Fill the bowl with 3 quarters of the old food, and one quarter of Ultimates. On days 3 & 4, add in another quarter, so you have half old food, half Ultimates. On days 5 & 6, mix one quarter old food and 3 quarters Ultimates . On only 7 days, your pet will be on an all-new diet of Ultimates.
Feeding amounts are guidelines. Adjust based on your dog's body condition and activity level.
