Ultimates Chicken Meal & Brown Rice Large Breed Puppy Dry Dog Food is scientifically formulated for puppies weighing more than 50 lbs. at maturity. Using a precise balance of calcium and phosphorus, this formula supports a slower growth rate which can help minimize common joint and bone problems often found in large and giant breeds. The increased level of nutrients provides extra calories for energy and growth and more protein to form muscles, organs and strong bones. This antioxidant-rich formula is also fortified with vitamins A and C along with nutrient-packed fruits and vegetables like apples, blueberries, carrots and spinach, which contain natural fiber to help with overall digestion.

Feeding Guide
Good health begins with proper feeding. Ultimates can help maintain your dog’s health when combined with exercise, veterinary care, and controlling intake of other food and treats. Use this chart as a guide, adjusting as necessary to maintain optimal weight. Portions will vary according to age, breed, temperament, and environment. When introducing Ultimates, mix increasing amounts of Ultimates with decreasing amounts of the current food over a 7 to 10 day period. During gestation and lactation, feed 2 to 4 times the portions recommended for the weight of your adult dog. Puppies often begin to eat solid foods at 3 to 4 weeks of age. Food can be served dry or with warm water (3 parts food to 1 part water). Offer clean, fresh water at all times. See your veterinarian regularly. On days 1 & 2 of the change, you should have plenty of your pet's old food left. Fill the bowl with 3 quarters of the old food, and one quarter of Ultimates. On days 3 & 4, add in another quarter, so you have half old food, half Ultimates. On days 5 & 6, mix one quarter old food and 3 quarters Ultimates . On only 7 days, your pet will be on an all-new diet of Ultimates.
Feeding amounts are guidelines. Adjust based on your dog's body condition and activity level.
